DAR MembershipWho wouldn’t want to be part of a group of women who share a proud history of family that made possible our American freedoms and independence? Add to that a heritage of service in historical preservation, promotion of education, and encouragement of patriotism, and you have Today’s DAR. Women aged 18 and older, who come from diverse backgrounds and are proud to play an active role in their communities while making new friends, are today's members of DAR. As one member put it, "To learn I could become a part of the DAR changed my life. I've made friendships for a lifetime." Join us! Worldwide the National Society has 3,000 chapters and over 175,000 members. The California DAR has 114 local chapters all over the state ready to invite you to a meeting.
