Welcome!

The Los Altos Chapter has been actively involved in serving our community since February 1950. We continue that DAR commitment through activities that promote Education, Historic Preservation, and Patriotism. We give an annual scholarship for Foothill Community College, provide support to veterans at the Palo Alto VA Hospital, sponsor an American History essay contest for middle school students, and provide hands-on genealogy workshops for the community. Membership in the DAR provides a unique opportunity to establish a family's heritage and service to the nation. We look forward to meeting you and helping you become a member of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution!

The Los Altos Chapter meets on the third Friday of each month, September through May, at 11:00 a.m. If you would like to attend one of our meetings, please contact us.

We welcome any woman for membership who is over 18 years of age and who is descended from a man or woman who aided in achieving American Independence during the period between April 19, 1775, and November 26, 1783. Information on membership in the DAR can be found here.
