Activities
Anne Loucks Chapter has 168 members. Our members are dedicated sponsors of the American History Essay contest for students of the 6th, 7th and 8th grades, DAR Good Citizens, which are high school seniors selected by their Principals, Senior Counselors and peers from Diablo and San Ramon Valley schools and are honored during February of each year. These recipients are young people who exhibit leadership, dependability, service and patriotism in their daily lives. Our chapter also is the sponsor of Captain Molly Corbin Society and Mary Wessell Society of the Children of the American Revolution.
American Indian Schools
Our Chapter collects Campbell's labels to support the DAR Schools. Labels and other proofs of purchase from over 1,000 Campbell product varieties are eligible for redemption in Campbell's Labels for Education Program. We encourage everyone to take advantage of this great corporate program which you can use to support the educational facility of your choice.

Good Citizens Award
Our chapter is proud to sponsor the DAR Good Citizens Award, open to all high school seniors whose personal, scholastic and volunteer record demonstrate the qualities of good citizenship. These fine young men and women are nominated and selected by their individual schools for their outstanding efforts which reflect dependability, service, leadership and patriotism. We are proud of our community's young adults!
Martha Anne
Our chapter mascot is "Martha Anne," a Teddy Bear
purchased at Mt. Vernon and dressed as Martha
Washington might have dressed. She is named for
Martha Washington and Anne Loucks. Martha
Anne can frequently be seen at chapter activities
in a variety of costumes lovingly made for her by
chapter members. With the assistance of the
newsletter editor, she also writes a monthly column
for the chapter newsletter called "Martha Anne's
Words of Wisdom."
