The NSDAR motto adopted in 1978

The Daughters of the American Revolution is a non-profit, non-political, volunteer service organization made up of approximately 170,000 members with 3,000 chapters. These chapters are located in all 50 states and in many countries around the world. On October 11, 1890, 18 women met to officially organize the NSDAR for historic, educational, and patriotic purposes. Since that day over 800,000 members have been admitted into membership.

About Our Chapter
In 1954 the Susan B. Anthony Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution was organized in Long Beach, California.

The chapter has been involved in many activities during its fifty plus years and has strived to maintain the history of the Long Beach area by placing historical markers.
