In the Spotlight
Meet three Malibu Daughters who welcome new horizons with courage, beauty, and grace. ![]() Dianette Wells Our own Dianette Wells poses atop Mt. Everest with a photo of her family and an American flag from the Malibu Chapter. With six of the seven summits completed, Dianette was back on Everest in 2008 to finish what she had started ten years before. And she did it. Congratulations, Dianette. You draw from the strength and courage of our ancestors and lend personal significance to the ideals of the Daughters of the American Revolution. ![]() Betty Lucas (left) and Romaine Andaloro (right) Betty Lucas was recently honored by the Malibu Chapter as "MVP 2007-2008" for her lengthy and inspired service to the chapter as Historian, Librarian, "Operation Paperback" coordinator, Founding Sisters Book Club leader, and artist-in-residence. You send out the call, and Betty will answer. Romaine Andaloro is a charter member of the Malibu Chapter and for seventeen years has exemplified the highest principles of the DAR. She leads as an officer, as a welcoming spirit to new members, and as a mentor to all. Thanks, Romaine, for being the epitome of hospitality - always gracious, never judging, unceasingly eager to find new horizons. Our 2008-2009 Yearbook is dedicated to Romaine in recognition of her service to the DAR and appreciation for her friendship. |
