The flag is a symbol of our country, and we feel great pride when we are able to promote the flag and to see it used correctly. Our chapter provides flags to the local Livermore schools and various other places in the area.

Outstanding Teacher Award

The Josefa Higuera Livermore Chapter presents this award each year to a teacher who is currently teaching in the Livermore School District.  We search for teachers who will be fondly remembered long after their students graduate.  This award is unique to our chapter, and is our way of recognizing teachers who have a positive impact on their students.

Veteran Patient Services - Livermore Veterans Hospital

The Josefa Higuera Livermore Chapter is a strong supporter of the VA Medical Center in Livermore. Some of the things members provide are handmade lap robes, Christmas cards, calendars, paperback books, and a Christmas luncheon. There is a dedicated chairman who looks for ways in which members can help the veteran patients.
