How to Establish Your Lineage

Gaining membership in the NSDAR is a unique opportunity to establish one's lineage and heritage as a descendent of a patriot of the American Revolution.  Applicants must prove their lineal, bloodline descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American Independence.  Documentation required for each generation includes proofs of birth, marriage, and death.  Documentation is required to link the generations to one another.  The first link is the applicant's birth certificate naming her parents.
