Welcome to the website of the Fresno-Yosemite Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). The Fresno Chapter was organized in Fresno, California, on March 23, 1922, with twenty-two members. The organizational meeting of the Yosemite Chapter was held in Clovis, California, on September 25, 1969, with twenty-six members. On December 8, 2007, these two chapters merged to become the Fresno-Yosemite Chapter.

Our chapter's members range in age from the 20s to the 90s, and are dedicated to supporting our national, state, and community projects. Locally, these projects include providing student scholarships, and assisting veterans in our local Veterans Administration Hospital through work at the hospital and donations of personal and comfort items.

DAR Membership

The DAR is a non-political organization open to women over the age of 18 who can prove lineal, blood line descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence. You can find information about DAR membership on the DAR National Society website.
