The Fresno-Yosemite Chapter is located in the central valley agricultural area of California, between Los Angeles and Sacramento.  Fresno is home to many cultures, faiths, and interests. Several universities also call Fresno home, including California State University, Fresno, and Fresno City College.

Nearby is the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range, home to three prestigious National Parks: Yosemite National Park, Sequoia National Park, and Kings Canyon National Park.

If you prefer the ocean, Pismo Beach, Santa Cruz, and Monterey are only two to three hours west of Fresno by car.

You can find more information about Fresno County and the surrounding area on the Fresno County website, or on Wikipedia's Information about Fresno County.

The DAR is a non-political organization open to women over the age of 18 who can prove lineal, blood line descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence. You can find more information about DAR membership on the
DAR National Society website.

Web hyperlinks to non-DAR sites are not the responsibility of the NSDAR, the state organizations, or individual DAR chapters.
