Welcome!

We welcome any woman for membership who is over 18 years of age and who is descended from a man or woman who aided in achieving American Independence during the period between 19 April 1775 and 26 November 1783.

The main objectives of our chapter are to perpetuate the memory and spirit of the men and women who achieved American Independence and to cherish, maintain, and extend American History, Education, and Patriotism. We meet every other month, October through June.

Chapter History

The El Toyon Chapter was organized on January 9, 1901. It was named for the Toyon berry, a dense evergreen shrub native to the Sierra Nevada foothills. Our membership is approximately 100 members.
