DAR Insignia

The official insignia of the National Society shall be in the form of a spinning wheel and distaff. The insignia shall be worn upon the left breast and only at functions of the Society or its chapters.

Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America

I Pledge Allegiance to The Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands; one Nation under God, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for All.

Flag Days

The flag of the United States of America may be flown at all times,
weather permitting, day or night, if properly illuminated after dark.

February 12 - Lincoln's Birthday

February 22 - Washington's Birthday

April 19 - Lexington Day

May 30 - Memorial Day

June 14 - Flag Day

July 4 - Independence Day

September 3 - Labor Day

September 17 - Constitution Day

October 19 - Yorktown Day

November 11 - Veterans Day

The Preamble to the Constitution of the United States of America

We, the people of the United States in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
