The De
Anza Chapter, organized in 1934, serves the San
Dieguito area, which includes Leucadia, Encinitas, Carlsbad,
Solana Beach, Del Mar, Rancho Santa Fe, Fairbanks Ranch,
Olivenhain, and La Costa.
The De Anza Chapter meets September thru June of each year.
We meet the first Saturday of each month at different
locations to accommodate special programs during the year.
Meetings/events are held in both public places and private
homes. Most members are from the local area; however, some
members are from other areas, as well. Local residency is not
a requirement for membership in any chapter.
The purpose of the De Anza Chapter is threefold:
- Historical - to perpetuate the memory and spirit
of the men and women who achieved American
Independence/genealogical research.
- Educational - to promote knowledge of American
History through essay contests and community events.
- Patriotic - to cherish, maintain, and extend the
institutions of American freedom, to foster true
patriotism and love of country, and to aid in securing for
humankind all the blessings of liberty.
We welcome any woman for membership who is over 18 years of
age and who is descended from a man or woman who aided in
achieving American Independence during the period between
April 19, 1775, and November 26, 1783. For information on
membership in the DAR, please

at one of our meetings, please contact
